  • Co-founded first life science company, a spin-out from Arizona State University | 2016

  • Completed incubator programs through ASU and the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation (CEI) | 2016-17
  • Selected as Global Innovation Fellow and traveled to Shenzhen, China as part of a U.S. State Department collaboration with China to strengthen economic relationship | 2017
  • Won multiple Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) | 2017-19
  • Graduated from the Arizona Commerce Authority Venture Ready Accelerator Program | 2018

A LOVE FOR ARIZONA

  • Born and raised under the poverty line in Phoenix
  • Educated at Arizona public schools from elementary (in reduced-price lunch program) through college (first-generation college graduate) and graduate school 
  • Met and married his wife, Cassie, in Arizona—they now reside in Ahwatukee and recently welcomed their first child
  • Focused on issues that impact our state and district: Educational and economic opportunity, a sustainable water supply, compassion and unity in public discourse, and individual liberty
